Inner Critic
Just like some people dislike their moles, freckles, arms, body hair, etc.
I’ve always had an insecurity about my belly button. Not sure why.
But it’s something I have mental battles with and constantly wish I could change.
And as soon as I saw this picture that’s all I could think about. How much I hated the way it looked
Instead of choosing to focus on the fact that I have a cheeky smile and that my body can do cool things!!
We all have those things about ourselves that we don’t like. The things we pick ourselves apart for.
However, if we heard our best friends or someone we love talking to themselves the way we have a tendency to talk to ourselves, we would step in and tell them to knock it right off.
We are our own worst critics.
This is a reminder, choose to give yourself compassion in a world that promotes perfection. Choose to talk tenderly and lovingly to yourself, as you would to someone you care about.
Give yourself grace, flaws are what make you human.
Start accepting the fact that you are perfectly imperfect.
Regardless of your weight. Your insecurities. Your past. Your present. Your own limiting beliefs.
Tell yourself you are enough.
Just as you are.
